Description for A SHROUD FOR DELILAH by Anthea Fraser:

Poor Kate Romilly! As if things weren't muddled enough for the recently separated young mother, now someone is killing divorcees in the picturesque English county of Broadshire. And for Kate those murders are getting uncomfortably close to home.

Having left her unfaithful husband, Kate is trying to rebuild her life in quaint old Broadminster. She's found a lovely new flat, a job in an antiques shop, and made several new friends, among them, her boss Richard Mowbray---recently divorced himself---co-worker Lana Truscott, and Sylvia Dane, a talented painter with ---er---quite a reputation.

At any rate, the last thing Kate needs right now is a gruesome string of killings a month the people and places she's grown so fond of. But after several divorced women meet untimely deaths, a bizarre pattern begins to take shape. At the scene of each crime, someone has scrawled the name Delilah, in lipstick, on the victim's mirror---a curious clue hinting that all the victims may have had something in common other than broken marriage.

And when Kate starts receiving some rather unsavory "gifts"---a dead pigeon, a dismembered moth---she fears she has been selected as the next target. Can Kate name the killer before the killer renames Kate...."Delilah"?
