The Professionals are safe in their exclusive zones, while the neighborhoods of the Untouchables burn with rage and frustration.  In the wastelands surrounding Manhattan, the people are kept high on government sanctioned drugs, worshiping television and the savage new sport it promotes---a hand-to-hand combat to the death staged in The Arena.

But a secret sect is rising in rebellion, using the ancient forbidden martial arts of Aiki to instill strength and wisdom in its followers, and arm them for the coming fight.  Now their time is near, and only one man stands in the way.  Mantis, killer and ruler of The Arena.  To defeat him will shatter The Arena and the gladiatorial armies of the ruling class.  To be defeated will mean death---and a future of terrifying oppression.  Capitan, the last of the warrior-masters, takes the challenge---for the hearts and minds of the people, for the soul of the future!
