The John Blackwood revival is in full swing. Not only are Blackwood's own books selling well, but so are the books being written about him. His daughter's hard work has made Blackwood a posthumous literary gold mine---hard work that included a lecture tour that eventually lands Faron in a quaint English university town.
Then strange things start happening.
An old family friend is murdered. Someone pushes Faron down a flight of marble stairs and forces her car off the road. And lately, Faron can't stop thinking about the helpless panic she felt the night her father died. If there's a connection, she doesn't see it just yet---but she will very soon....
