From Dr. Gene Getz, pastor of a growing church that emphasized both Bible and "body life", comes this practical book about interpersonal relationships. He discusses 12 significant "one another" commands of the New Testament and gives practical steps for developing "body function" in any local Christian church.
Also a professor practical theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, Getz has led his students in studies of concepts of New Testament church life. An outgrowth of these studies was Fellowship Bible Church, which he, along with several businessmen in Dallas, began in 1972. Today the church is composed of four congregations that meet in on building---a Friday night church, A Sunday morning church, a Sunday afternoon church, and a Sunday night church.
The success experienced in this new work, says Dr. Getz, has a great deal to do with "body function". The structures of the church are designed to allow every member to take part in building up other Christians. How this is done is the emphasis of BUILDING UP ONE ANOTHER.
