Senator Eleanor "Norie" Gorzack is the newest member of the United States Senate. She knew the job would be difficult, but she never imagined it could be deadly. It's her first day on the job when she witnesses a horrible accident on the Senate subway. A Vietnam vet has been killed and Norie realizes it's murder. But who would kill him, and why was he trailing her?
