I wouldn't know a put or take option from a convertible debenture.

But this big industrialist had hired me handsomely to find out who was buying in a certain stock that should have been worthless, and why.  So I took a nice, round, easily remembered figure---Doody's--and hied me out to consult the only Big Board I knew anything about, the tote board at Hollywood Park, hoping I wouln't come up with the shorts.

Oddly, this broke the case wide open.  I killed a hood whose shot mostly missed me.  And soon everyone, including the fuzz, was off and running---in all directions.
