Dear Miss Demeanor

First there's the scandal of Emily Parchester, Farberville's journalism teacher for forty years, who's removed from her position for pilfering petty cash. Then there are the suggestive letters to Miss Demeanor, the Falcon Crier's advice columnist.

And finally, incredibly, there's murder: Principal Weiss himself, poisoned by cyanide in his peach compote, homemade by none other than Miss Parchester.

Claire Malloy, bullied by her freshman daughter into taking over the journalism classes and doing some detecting on the side, soon finds herself involved in these sordid matters, but nothing seems to add up-except the dead bodies. And when the count goes to two, the killer is still on the move....
