Dick and Jane Kline decided to drive Debbie's usual route in case she had some car problem or was in an accident and couldn't phone. As they passed the Moyer home, they saw Debbie's car just as the police arrived. Dick jammed the brakes and backed into the drive, and in an instant Jane was out of the car, shrieking, "That's Debbie's! Where is she?"

It was now nearly six months since Debbie disappeared. Most leads to her whereabouts had proven out empty and fruitless.
