Tim Harper and Kylene were misfits among the agents of the Algheran Project. Harper's mysterious origins in the 20th century---90,000 years in Alghera's past---made his allegiance suspect. And Kylene, the untrained telepath Harper and wrenched from her barbaric past, loathes Harper and hated everything Alghera stood for.
