A fourteen-year-old boy lies dying of leukemia. All conventional methods of treatment have failed. His only hope of survival lies with two brilliant, driven medical scientists, each of whom independently is one the verge of perfecting a cure for cancer utilizing the body's own immune system. But the treatment, still in the experimental stage, has never been tested on a human being.
