Separated from her husband, Samantha Lawton was an anxious to provide a stable, loving home life for her two sons.  She looked after them, sent them off to school in the morning and Boy Scouts in the evening, and hoped for the best.  But suddenly their quiet Midwestern town was plagued with a series of fatal accidents, and simultaneously Samantha sensed her boys withdrawing from her.  It was as if she had completely lost control of them...

DEADLY MISCHIEF

Police Officer Henry Ax was mystified by the "accidents" that had caused so many deaths recently.  Handymen losing thir grip on ladders.  Senior citizens mistaking one pill for another.  Commuters falling onto train tracks.  And in each case, a young boy was involved.  A fine, bright young boy who just happened to be in the vicinity of the tragedy.  The kind of boy that anyone would trust with their lives...
