Retribution

Description for RETRIBUTION by Elizabeth Forrest:

MIDNIGHT

had possessed Charlie since she was a young child it was the name she had given to her late night visitations-the terrifyingly real nightmares which haunted both her sleeping and waking hours.  The only way she could lay these overwhelming images to rest was to paint, frantically, obsessively, until she had captured on canvas the dreams that tormented her soul.

Acclaimed as a child prodigy of the art world, she found fame and fortune---but she didn’t find true release from her torment until it was discovered that Charlie was suffering from a pediatric brain tumor.  Yet healing did not come cheap, for the removal of the tumor seemed to excise her srtistic vision as well.

But Charlie thought the end of her agony worth the price---until Midnight suddenly began to intrude upon her adult life.  And this time the visions her vibrant paintings brought to life were a shocking revelation of undiscovered murders and of the cold-blooded killer whose identity would soon become clear---unless Charlie herself became the stalker’s next victim…
