FOR HEINRICH HIMMLER, IT WAS THE GAMBIT THAT COULD WIN THE WAR: THE MANHATTAN GAMBIT
In April 1943, the war in Europe is balanced on a knife edge. The masters of the Third Reich see that time is against them. Their only hope is a desperate gamble to seize the one weapon that can change the course of the war. Heinrich Himmler, Reichsfuhrer, SS, has a plan and a mission for the killing machine Joachim Trattner. Joachim Trattner is already in the United States.
He is at a bucolic prison camp for Nazi POWs in America, in Monterey, California. Trattner breaks out, aided by his beautiful American girlfriend, and the two carve a bloody trail across America in search of salvation for Hitler's Reich. From California to Nevada to Oklahoma to Washington, DC, to Princeton, New Jersey, Trattner kills and kills again.
In his path stand a passed-over Irish street cop from Los Angeles and a "mousey woman lawyer" from the OSS. If they cannot stop the Manhattan Gambit, Hitler will win the war.
