The Orphan

THE WEREWOLF...

A creature of the night, a solitary, fur-covered thing.  A wild-eyed, five-clawed beast with a taste for blood and the soft crunch of bone between the teeth.

WAS STILL A CHILD...

The werewolf could change his form.  When he found he could be human, destiny smiled.  He became little Robert, hid in a barn and let himself be adopted by a farm family.

WITH A FEW THINGS YET TO LEARN!

But the beast had problems.  The human shape had its own will and wanted to keep its own identity.  Neither of them could quite control the shifting of its form.  Their dual nature continually threatened to reveal itself, to destroy their carefully constructed cover---and to let destiny fulfill its own strange purpose.
