The Wealdwife's Tale

Description for THE WEALDWIFE'S TALE by Paul Hazel:

Since the death of his dear wife, Elva, the melancholy Eighth Duke of West Redding has neglected his lands, his people and his four children--obsessed, instead, with constructing a miraculous flying machine that will carry him to his lost beloved.

But even as the hapless duke tumbles from the sky, Destiny's wheel is taking an inevitable turn. For what he retrieves from the heart of a dark, impenetrable wood will curse a family tragically fated to repeat ancient mistakes--altering and devastating forever a world they think they know.
