Where had all the water gone? During the first year we only noticed record summer temperatures and drought problems in some areas of normally high rainfall. The next summer brought the hottest days on record, violent earthquakes, and some rationing of water. By the third summer the sea levels had fallen. With the oceans going, rain became less and less frequent. And then it stopped altogether.
