SHE IS LTH:  HUGE, LEGENDARY, MYSTICAL.  SHE WAS GIVEN AN AWESOME TASK---AND THE AWESOME POWERS TO CARRY IT OUT.  BUT NOW SHE IS HORRIBLY ALONE.

HE IS SLIC:  THE LARGEST, MOST COMPLEX COMPUTER ON EARTH.  HE IS SENTIENT, AND HE IS HUNGRY.  AND HIS PLANS DO NOT INCLUDE THE PUNY HUMAN RACE.

Their combined quests culminate in the most bizarre hunt, in history as a computer tracks down Lth, a creature beyond its comprehension.  Only two people have some idea who---or what---Lth is.  But they will never be the same-again----and neither will the world.
